Stories

The most common question we are asked is; ‘so, what type of things can you do?’   The answer? The list is endless! There really isn’t much we can’t do with technology making it ever easier for people to work remotely.  Other than make you a cuppa!

Here’s a taster of some slightly unusual things we get to do:-

Overseas Assistance

Our client regularly spends the Summer overseas, one of our assistants travels out with her to sort through all the outstanding paperwork, action any necessary correspondence and organises and accompanies her client in meetings to take meeting notes.  She also ensures the apartment is up to standard and makes it her duty to shop for essentials, so her client’s arrival is an enjoyable experience.

On one occasion, there was a family emergency, within 24 hours our assistant had travelled back overseas to meet her client, closed her apartment up and travelled back with her so that she could be with her family.  Once everything was resolved, she returned overseas with her client and ensured a smooth transition back, with minimal interruption.

Property Management

A number of our clients own high end rental properties.  It is our responsibility to ensure these properties are:-

  • Fully maintained to their usual standard.
  • Meet all regulations and are let to reputable tenants.
  • If maintenance is required, it is our role to ensure these repairs and upgrades are carried out, not only timely with minimum fuss to the tenant, but also ensuring the maintenance is to the highest possible standards.
  • Safeguarded, we regularly visit the properties to make sure what we have instructed, actually happens – and most importantly meets and exceeds our clients expectations.

Tenders and Proposals

We have been asked, on several occasions, to prepare tenders and proposals with incredibly tight deadlines.  Quite often, simple handwritten notes are provided with a brief outline of what the client wants to portray. From these simple instructions, we have frequently prepared comprehensive and professional documentation, which is handed to not only prospective clients, but also to lawyers and accountants for large transactions.

At times, we have had to work until the early hours to complete the document, with last minute changes, but we have always met the deadline……albeit a little jaded at the end!

Support at opposite ends of the World!

At a meeting with one of our existing clients they mentioned a business associate who lives in Australia but has a British based business.  Her current PA had resigned unexpectedly. We knew we could resolve the gap in support. We called the associate in Australia to explain how we could help and the services we offer.

The associate was so happy with what we could offer, she signed up immediately. We even managed to meet with per PA before she left, so we could get a comprehensive handover. Proof in the pudding that ‘virtual’ support can really work, no matter where you are!

Sociable PA

Our client wanted a marquee for their son’s summer birthday party. Knowing that our client’s son loved anything ‘army’ related they also looked into sourcing true style army marquees, complete with cargo nets, camouflage table cloths and plates, a cake shaped as a tank, and even a box of army dressing up clothes!

Our clients son had a fantastic birthday and his guests went away bugging their parents for a similar party!
